In the wake of communism’s fall in 1991, Mongolia was left impoverished and broken—with over 36% of its population now living below the poverty line. Asian Outreach has stepped into this need with compassion and vision, helping to restore hope through practical and spiritual transformation.

Through their Education and Community Development initiatives, Asian Outreach offers literacy programs, small business loans, and vocational training to empower families and break the cycle of poverty.

On the spiritual front, the change has been extraordinary. Before 1990, only five known Christians lived in Mongolia. Today, that number exceeds 90,000. Asian Outreach has played a key role in this revival, having trained more than 85% of Mongolia’s Christian leaders through its Leadership Training programs.

Asian Outreach continues to bring lasting change—both physical and spiritual—to the people of Mongolia.

Dear Friends,

Exciting news from Mongolia! The Great Commission Institute (GCI) is transforming lives by equipping church leaders to fulfill the Great Commission. In 2024, GCI conducted ten impactful training sessions. These sessions brought together 229 pastors and leaders from 57 churches—including four Korean Mongolian churches—to strengthen their ability to lead and disciple effectively.

The training has sparked spiritual renewal among participants, who gained a deeper understanding of the Holy Spirit’s role in mission work. Chandman Uvs Assembly leader, B. Odontuya shared: "I plan to assemble a team of five individuals to serve our church.” Leaders were also inspired to form missional teams and equipped with strategies to foster spiritual growth in their congregations.

Teamwork and collaboration were recurring themes, with participants learning how to unite their congregations around common goals. Pastor D. Munkhbat of the "Wave of Faith" church expressed how the training prepared him to help his congregation “stay at peace during challenges.”

Since its inception in 2001, GCI has trained approximately 70% of Mongolia’s church leaders. This ministry meets leaders where they are, offering mobile training that allows participants to stay engaged in their local communities. The program’s practical and intensive approach ensures participants leave equipped with actionable ministry plans. Hovd "Kuanshti Khabar" congregation leader, Enkhchimeg, reflected: “I’ve learned gratitude, perseverance, and lessons to share with my congregation.”

Your prayers and support are integral to the ongoing success of this ministry. Together, we are equipping leaders, strengthening churches, and advancing God’s Kingdom in Mongolia.
